What timecoded video feedback actually fixes
A timecoded comment is stored against an exact moment in the cut. Instead of "around halfway through, the music feels off", the note lives at 01:12 — and clicking it takes the editor straight to 01:12.
That sounds small until you count the round trips it removes. "That shot near the end", "the logo scene", "about 1:20 on the version you sent Tuesday" — every one of those needs a reply before any work can start. Ten notes from three reviewers is a day of clarification before a single edit gets made.
It also improves the notes themselves. Reviewers who have paused on the frame describe what they can see rather than a general impression. When the problem is spatial rather than temporal — which element in a busy frame — they can draw on the frame with a pin, box or arrow, saved with the comment.
