Video proofing software

Proof a video properly, not just share it

Sharing a video gets you reactions in four different inboxes. Proofing a video keeps the feedback, the versions and the decisions in one place until someone says yes — on the record. That loop is all FNSHD does.

The proofing loop

Five steps, in order, with nothing between them. Every feature in FNSHD exists to move a cut one step further along this line.

  • Upload — drop in a version; playback, thumbnails and version history are handled
  • Review — one share link, watched in the browser, no account needed to watch
  • Collect — timecoded comments and frame annotations from every reviewer
  • Revise — upload the next version; old notes stay attached to the cut they were about
  • Approve — each reviewer approves or requests changes, stored against that version

Sharing versus proofing

A share link is a delivery mechanism. It answers "can you watch this?" and nothing else. The feedback then arrives as email replies, chat messages and a phone call, none of which know what version they refer to.

Proofing answers the harder questions: what exactly is wrong, at what frame, in which version, and has anyone actually signed it off? When those live with the file, delivery stops being a negotiation.

Online video proofing, without the platform tax

Most proofing tools are the front door to a much larger media platform — asset management, ingest, transcoding pipelines, storage tiers. Useful if you need them, expensive if you don't. FNSHD stays at the proofing layer and prices accordingly: free for one editor, $10 per member per month on Pro.

Proof is something you can produce later

Every version keeps its comments, annotations and decisions with names and timestamps. When a client asks why a cut went out the way it did, the answer is a link, not an archaeology dig through email.
